Enlisted in Royal Artillery on 14th November 1940. transfered to Corps of Military Police 10th May 1941. He was awarded the Defence Medal & War medal. Son of William and Emily J Miller of 27 Andover Road, Winchester (On Baptism register & 1911 census). In 1921 (father now a widower, Emily died 1919) family living at 27 Andover Road, father still living there in 1939. Father died 1949. Husband of Millicent Mary Miller of Winchester. Married Oct/Nov/Dec 1933 in Winchester area. In 1939 both living at 15 St Martins Close, Winchester, he involved in ARP as Heavy rescue & Demolition squad. She remarries 14th October 1959 becoming Morey.
